The Hardy Amies Fall 2014 Menswear Collection is set in Savile Row's basement in an outing called 'The Monogrammed Spy.' The back-story of Sir Hardy's covert glory days as a Secret Operations Executive in the military was referenced in the double-faced field vests and workwear jackets layered heavily through peak-lapelled suiting.

Pops of cobalt and brick orange twill appeared against a dark palette of charcoal and chocolate brown felt checks, while the William Haines-designed 'HA' monogram returned on a silk jacquard smoking jacket. Embossed tote bags and velvet slippers are just some casual subtleties laced throughout the collection, but one cannot overlook the exclusively British plaid trouser suit.

This particular collection is masculine by its very nature; cues from military garments combined with fine tailoring provide a well-structured male character that is undeniably dapper.
