This year at Selfridges, a range of Halloween cake designs that follow a 'Serial Killer' theme are on display from Anges De Sucre.

Taking inspiration from classic horror films, the base of these tiered watercolor cakes seem to begin as pretty baked treats that would suit any season, but are dressed up for the Halloween season with dripping red detailing and sharp edibles. This particular cake from the Serial Killer series takes cues from the 90s classic 'It.'

Like a much more beautiful take on Frankenstein's monster, the Halloween cake design pieces together a mashup of unusual confectionery items like donuts, candies and pink-tinted popcorn. This is a signature of cakes created by Anges De Sucre, which are often adorned with macarons, peanut butter cups, pretzels and more.
