Instead of bombing the streets with graffiti and tags, plant flowers and trees as a guerrilla gardener. This environmental initiative by Adidas and Dazed Digital doubles as a clever interactive marketing campaign. Everyone can join in the fun. If you’ve seen an area that resembles a concrete hell in need of instant bloom, get in the game. Wait for nightfall. Put your guerrilla gloves on. Sling a bag of dirt over your shoulder. Get planting. The goal is for flowery gardens to shoot up everywhere in the urban space. The cue is green transformation. Be sure to take before and after photos of your space and upload them at Dazed.com. You can vote for your favorite eco-guerilla gardener. The ten most popular choices will be featured in the next issue of Dazed, and they’ll also receive Adidas goodies. I think this is fabulous and exciting. Let’s all make the grey areas bloom with plants and vegetation. These three photos are taken by Tara Darby and feature work by Gary Card, Ben Long and Jay Jay Burridge for the GRUN Adidas and Dazed project. References: adidas, dazeddigitalFiled In: |
