Greyhound=Simple+Chic+Luxury+Sophisticated Style
Greyhound Original Spring/Summer 08
‘GREYHOUND CITY – CONTROLLED CHAOS’
We are living in the age where the boundaries of cultures and art are intervening, all mixed and remixed in all media and forms, whether they are the architectural style, music, art, fashion and food. This collection of Greyhound Spring / Summer 08 is inspired by this chaos of today’s modern living with the emphasis on the futuristic style of modern architects, like Project Concert Hall “ Casa da Musica” at Porto Portugal of Rem Koolhass that opened up new attitude and concept thinking for modern designs. It’s brave and totally challenging all traditional beliefs.
In this collection, Greyhound also twists old structures with new thoughts, subtracting and adding to the old shapes and forms, like combining shorts and hot pants to a top (such as shirts or jackets) turning them into chic and sporty Romper Suits. Another key technique we use is applying these modern architectural forms onto plain t-shirts or blouses, and pants, giving them a three-dimensional feel. The silhouette is the modern 80’s, with oversized tops and loosely cut, worn with high waist bottoms, such as pants and skirts.
The graphic prints are the reflection of the urbanist life style, borrowing from street art, modern graphic patterns, plus statements based on the world’s current issues including the ‘Global Warming’ campaign.
The basic colors of Greyhound - black, white and grey - still remain the dominant colors with splashes of summer colors, such as cobalt blue, sunflower yellow, electric pink, all mixed and remixed – ‘A Perfect Controlled Chaos’, we would say.
