Thanks to the struggles of the auto industry, especially the Big 3, we have been bombarded with news on hybrids. Now hybrids are taking to the water. Epic Wake Boats has designed the Epic 23E, a speedboat that is equipped with an electric flex fuel hybrid engine. The Epic 23E’s hybrid system uses a silent electric propulsion system that uses the fuel side to help produce electricity as the batteries start to run low. Another very impressive point is its recharge time—only 1.5 hours. Buying a hybrid speedboat does not necessarily entail skimping on the frills; the Eco 23E comes with a touchscreen that controls the radio and on-board navigation. So now you can take the party to the water and do it in an eco-friendly manner.  The EPIC 23E will change the way people think about water-sports," said EPIC Wakeboats CEO Chris Anthony. "Not only is the design more environment-friendly, but it is a more affordable option for boating enthusiasts at a time when everyone is watching their budgets.
