The Gravity - Sand Creatures photo series is aptly named. The explosive and at times powdery scenes of the grainy earth being thrown into the air can be taken as some kind of manifesting life form. Not to mention that gravity is hard at work throughout the photoshoot. It is interesting to see how a simple concept can be given such life. The dynamic images are sure to mesmerize immediately.

Shot by Claire Droppert, a photographer and visual designer based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, the Gravity - Sand Creatures photo series focuses on nature in an unexpected way. She writes, "In my work, I'm inspired by the line where simplicity and minimalism are wed, and the new editing techniques that blur this line."
