The thrifty cheese grater table display in the gallery is remarkable, but why do we trap cheese graters in the kitchen? Surely we should give our appliances a little more freedom. If they end up looking as awesome as this collection of cheese grater-based designs, then we most certainly should.

A so-called 400-foot cheese grater building in the Miami Design District has more than a whiff of cheese grater about it, and other design classics such as the Mac are also claimed to have a cheese grater feel about them.
