Nana Adwoa Sey wanted to make graphic design terms easier for people to understand so she created a cute, graphic online glossary. The professor Adwoa Sey originally wanted to make the dictionary accessible to her first-year students, but it has become an easy reference for design students world-wide or for those just wanting to gain some extra knowledge.
The website and terms are easy to understand thanks to the help of the adorable site mascot named Dot. She walks viewers through terms like "3 color RBG," "kerning" and "die cut."
The online dictionary doesn't provide explanations beyond a few sentences, so it's truly only geared to those new to the field. However, Dot’s Dictionary still serves as a fun and interactive way of learning; the illustrated guide uses simple language, colorful templates and interpretive diagrams.
