There is a mournful quality to the work of Graham Little that is captured by the prevalent use of muted colors, passive expressions and soft pencil and brush strokes. Despite all of the details seen in each of these masterpieces, it is interesting to note that Graham Little modernized the traditional technique gouache, which often yielded more abstract renderings of realistic scenarios.

As though inspired by the recent popularity of photo-realistic paintings, Graham Little has put his own unique spin by creating drawings/paintings that nevertheless have a more vintage look to them. Considering the current love for the Instagram app as well, Graham Little seems to have an eye for popular culture while not compromising his own talent and tastes.

Graham Little was born in Scotland and resides in London.
