Imaginative graffiti artist 'Phlegm' is well known for creating images of unusual creatures, but his latest installation seems more edgy and menacing than his other works. These pieces, which can be found at the Howard Griffin Gallery in Shoreditch, depict odd little individuals being tangled up in tentacles, snapped up in crocodile jaws.
Many of these artworks have a nautical theme, and a few seem to be 3-D, popping out from the walls in certain places. One of these works features a small row boat with oars that stick out of the wall. Another portion of this exhibit features a hallway with painted shelves filled with mysterious jars. This peculiar monster exhibit pushes Phlegm's works to a new and interesting level. These mischievous creatures clearly come from an overworked imagination.
