Godiva Chocolates – Have Your Suite And Eat It Too
[Edit]
The Belguim chocolate maker, Godiva, is providing a weekend stay for two in a completely chocolate Bryant Park Hotel room that will be a truffle lover’s paradise. It is the grand prize in its annual Valentine’s Day promotion. One winning gift box of Godiva chocolates, priced at over $23.00, sold in North America, will contain a note congratulating the weekend winner.
The chocolate New York hotel room was unveiled this week by “Heroes” actress Ali Larter, who called it “the perfect bit of sin.” The room is elegantly sweet. Even the fireplace logs are made with candy.
“This year we really wanted to bring the chocolate experience to life,” said Erica Lapidus, Godiva’s head of public relations and promotions. “It’s a multi-sensory experience.”
When I was growing up, my favorite candy was those hard sticky Mary Janes. You know, the kind that would send you to a dentist, who had a pair of needle-nose pliers to remove the candy from your teeth. The candy even resembled plaque and if you didn’t get it off, it took three days to melt. Now, if you are unlucky enough to have braces, bridges, or dentures, eating that candy can become fatal, worse than lock-jaw. Go out and buy a box of Godiva chocolates and join the fun for Valentines Day.
