Glass light boards are now a reality with the 'Lightboard' for teachers to use. It's a transparent dry-erase board that lets you write with fluorescent markers. A Professor named Michael Peshkin of Northwestern University developed a new lightboard for classrooms. It’s a 4 x 8 ft pane of architectural glass lit by 8 ft strips of white LEDs stretching from the top to bottom of the entire frame.

This board resembles the traditional use of chalkboards and white boards used in many schools. Now the use of light and cameras creates an effect of live streaming for teaching online. This professor uses a black background to make his notes and sketches more vivid when teaching. Glass light boards would be an efficient and interactive way to teach in the future.
