Living Manequins - Calvin Klein Plexiglas Presentation (GALLERY)
[Edit]
Far from the typical showroom presentation, the Calvin Klein and CK Calvin Klein Spring 2008 Collections were worn by models enclosed in grids of Plexiglas boxes.
The store had several glass boxes, each with one to three models wearing the Calvin Klein products. They were encased inside the clear boxes appearing like moving sculptures. It was a new approach to fashion that seemed to mimic a contemporary art exhibit in a museum.
Kevin Carrigan, creative director of all Calvin Klein licenses, said he used the boxes as an innovative way of enhancing the clothes. And it truly did—the display augmented the collection of chiffon-layering, techno fabrics, splashes of modern colors, softly structured dresses and underwear with metallic lace as some of the trends predicted to be hot for the labels next season.
