DIY Charity - Giving Anonymously Makes People Come Together (VIDEO)

GivingAnon.org allows do-gooders and those with big hearts to be their own charity. Founded by Lionel Thompson, Giving Anonymously encourages generosity between people. Finding help can be difficult enough, and for some, accepting assistance from well-meaning friends or neighbors can be equally challenging.

You know how you wonder where your money actually goes when you give to non-profits/charities? Giving Anonymously allows you to know exactly where the money goes because you tell them who receives your money. Instead of giving to Giving Anonymously and having them distribute the funds (which is also an option), you actually get to be the charity. Their belief is that you may know people all around you in need and they’re the vehicle that allows you to help.

All you have to do is find someone in need and tell Giving Anonymously about them. Make your contribution and then shortly after your neighbor, friend, etc. will receive the funds. You’ll receive an e-mail with a voice file of them thanking you, but they won’t know who they are thanking (remember, it’s anonymous). As an added bonus, you are sure to earn some heaven points for this one.
