Trend Hunter has featured the work of German artist Julia Fullerton-Batten in the past. The collection we are presenting today is called “Teenage Stories” and includes images of a young girl interacting with objects in a miniature village. In reference to her art, Fullerton-Batten says, “The aim is to capture the lives and feelings of young girls as they change from relative innocence to a heightened awareness of their adult lives.” The talented artist has received a plethora of awards for her amazing work in art photography including the Applied Arts Photography Award and second place in the Prix de la Photographie Paris for Teenage Stories.  The girls I photograph in these miniature villages interact with them much like children interact with their real surroundings, living inside their own dreams and fantasies rather than living in a specific house on a specific street. In their minds they can be giants moving through our world whilst always remaining separate to it, cocooned in their own dream like existence."
