Return of the Cone Boobs - Girls Aloud Get Galactic Glam (VIDEO)

Remember when Madonna brought back retro cone boobs, making the pointy bra style hot again? Well now thanks to Girls Aloud, it’s back, and this time with a galactic blast!

The UK girlband showed off this look when they kicked off their Tangled Up tour in Belfast this week.

“All credit goes to Julien Macdonald, who designed two sets of futuristic outfits for the girls, which resemble Jean-Paul Gaultier’s infamous ‘cone’ bodice for Madonna’s 1990 Blonde Ambition tour,” Catwalks Queen says. “Ironically, Gaultier has recently designed Kylie Minogue’s current tour costumes, which she showed off in Paris earlier this week.”

A year ago, that would have sounded absurd, but after the strong recent emphasis on superheroes and sci-fi-chic fashion, it’s really not that surprising.
