The Belgian design firm 'Abscis Architecten' recently unveiled a new hospital parking garage that is decorated with thousands of small geometric perforations. When it comes to car parks, these structures are usually designed with utility in mind. This beautiful structure demonstrates that parking garages can be both functional and artistic.

The brilliant white parking garage was created for patients and staff at the 'AZ Sint-Lucas Hospital' in Ghent, Belgium. The car park is split into two distinct buildings, which helps to lesson the imposing impact of the structures on the small hospital campus. One building feature nine parking levels while the other has only five. Both structures are surrounded by metal balustrades that have been decorated with small geometric perforations. The intricate patterns add an artistic element to an otherwise ordinary structure.
