The Alphabet According to Generation Z infographic attempts to clarify the confuzzling terms behind some of this generation's befuddling slang.
Every generation has its own lingo but the older you get, the harder it is to adapt to new terms, especially if it's evolved from a television show or singer you barely follow. Aside from popular abbreviated words from artists like YOLO -- you only live once -- social media seems to have had a great impact on how people speak today, especially when certain platforms limit the maximum number of characters allowed. Defs, jks, cray and totes are only a few of the outrageously shortened words that still remotely resemble their original forms (definitely, jokes, crazy and totally, respectively). While these Generation Z words are mind-boggling at first, the infographic provides a clear definition along with helpful sample sentences as well.
