Think that only Dad can set up the TV? Think again, because geek moms are on the rise. These fabulous high-tech mothers are growing in number and influence, sparking up social networks and turning the heads of marketers.

These geek moms know their tech and are spending more and more time online. They not only chat, but build websites, text their babysitter, install their wireless router, blog, and use Facebook regularly. They are the cool moms of today. 

One of the core discussions of the 2009 SXSW Festival regarded the growing power of geek moms. It’s certainly substantial; since 2007, women have spent $90 billion on gadgets and influenced 61% of all consumer electronics purchases. Best of all, this number is growing.
