 No More Stinking Breath “Hey, did you just eat garlic?” You’ve heard it before. There is a chef in Italy trying to eliminate the pungent staple off the ingredient list. Gosh, and I thought that Spaghetti Bolognaise “needed” garlic. Critics say the bulbous herb stinks and overwhelms more delicate flavors. Garlic aficionados say it enhances every dish it touches. Chef Filippo La Mantia says that garlic is a left over from when the Italians were poor. His action sparked a anti-garlic movement and ex prime minister Berlusconi is a fan. I still love the garlic though…  "There are lots of prejudices that people who eat and smell of garlic are second class, backward, unsophisticated," Tozzi says. "It's a class thing for many people."
