As a seafood lover, these ads really spoke to me. The photography is exceptional, and at a glance, one might not notice the horrors hidden within each image.

A closer look shows that the sushi is not wrapped in seaweed, but in plastic bags. The fish isn’t covered in a delicious balsamic glaze, but in disgustingly thick stripes of crude oil. Mussels are a delicious meal, but when there are rusty bottle caps scattered between the shells, it’s no longer appealing, but appalling.

Is this really what you want to be eating? If we continue to act unconsciously and don’t start taking care of our earth, which includes our nurturing water bodies, then this will be our reality. With Earth Day coming up, now is a good time to reflect on what we’re doing.
