Bastin compares high-quality food and fashion, saying that they both focus on attention to quality and process. He explains on his site that you should "start with the classics and bare essentials and then move up the ladder to quirky pieces and not-so-essential gear. It's like complementing a simple pasta with a very good red wine."
His foodie design philosophy has worked well for him (I'd like to taste his cooking). The collection has both dressy and casual options. It would suit someone who works a trendy summer job with a side job on Wall Street. Well-tailored suits and interesting casual pieces, like the knee-length purple patterned coat, make this a highly versatile collection.
