NYK recently revealed the futuristic prototype designs for the new NYK Super Eco Ship 2030. Plans to complete the proposed ultramodern ship, which runs on liquefied natural gas, solar power, and wind power is scheduled for the year 2030.

This space age eco-friendly prototype, designed by MTI, Italian designer Garroni Progetti, and Elomatic Marine, is intended to be a cargo ship. Substantial growth in progressive energy based technology allowed the designers of the NYK Super Eco Ship 2030 to introduce innovative concepts that can cut toxic emissions by 69%.

In celebration of Earth Day, NYK Line released the initial exploratory design for its NYK Super Eco Ship 2030, an energy-efficient ship expected to emit almost 70% less CO2 emissions than current vessels. (gcaptain)
