Bo Nuage is a brand new French pastry shop that's a Parisian-chic meets '60s glam store specializing in French 'nuage' cloud cakes. Located on Melrose Avenue, it's created the perfect excuse to (temporarily) break a no-sweets New Year's resolution.
Owners Pascal and Audrey Achcar are no newbies to the pastry business, wanting to continue the Parisian meringue tradition in Los Angeles combined with the talents of L.A. designer Jessica Marx of J. Marx Atelier. She gave this 120-square-foot space its minimalistic black-and-white molding, rose-gold stools, delicate chandeliers and sleek geometric tiling.
The nuages on the other hand, are made in-house with organic ingredients, built from two layers of meringue, filled with whipped cream, then covered in more whipped cream and topped with shaved chocolate. The shop features fifteen flavors of French treats to choose from.
