'Fry’s Family Foods' has launched a line of plant-based freezer meals that are high in iron, protein and omega-3 fatty acids. In recent years, a growing number of consumers have adopted a plant-based diet. These gourmet meals are a perfect meat-free option for busy consumers.

The 'Nature’s Plant Protein' range features a series of meat-free meals made from fresh ingredients and nutritious superfoods. The meals include gourmet options such as quinoa-based falafel burgers and flax seed schnitzel. All of the ingredients used are 100 percent natural and free from hormones and antibiotics. The meals are not only flavorful, but they are also high in fiber, protein and other nutrients.

While vegetarians and vegans are most likely to purchase the plant-based freezer meals, the company is also marketing the products towards 'flexitarians.' Flexitarians refers to a growing number of consumers who follow a primarily plant-based diet, but do eat meat on occasion.
