 Record Holders for Longest Human Fingernails Are Just Gross Published: Feb 14, 09 Comments: 1 Views: 3,960 Lee Redmond holds the Guinness World Records for longest fingernails on both hands. The total length of her fingernails are 8.65 m. She was meant to cut them off in 2006 but changed her mind. Incidentally, last night she was involved in a car wreck in which her record-breaking fingernails broke down to normal size. Shridhar Chillal had the longest fingernails on a single hand measuring 6.15 meters. After 48 years of not cutting his nails, he finally cut all of his nails off in 2000. I find these images slightly disturbing if not freaky. These people haven’t cut their fingernails for over 40 years. They are clearly making a living posing with their ‘scissor hands,’ but this makes me question if the World Book of Records is a good thing or not.
