These delicious firecracker cake pops by blogger and foodie She Knows are great Fourth of July treats to make in honor of Independence Day. Inside lurks an explosive surprise that is sure to make your mouth light up just like a firework in the sky.

To make these cake pops a patriotic red, white and blue color scheme, begin by dying a vanilla cake batter with edible food coloring. Once the colored cakes are baked you can punch out rings using a cookie cutter. Stack the rings on top of one another using icing and fill the middle hole up with pop rocks. Add a black licorice string to act as the firecracker wick.

Every time someone takes a bite out of these firework cake pops their mouth will explode with the popping sensation of the pop rocks candy.
