Zaha Hadid is a world-renowned furniture designer who has a reputation for thinking out of the box, and her latest Serac bench creation made for Lab 23 sees Hadid taking some amazingly twisted inspiration from the frozen tundra to make this curvaceous, eye-catching piece of seating artwork.

The Serac bench, made exclusively for the street furniture brand Lab 23, is constructed out of a resin and quartz composite that makes up its sparkling white hue. Hadid says that she got the inspiration for the curvy Serac bench by thinking about a "block of ice formed in the crevasses of a glacier."

Designs like the Serac for Lab 23 are what have established Hadid as a creative designer who mixes furniture concepts with art. With smooth ripples running through the Serac that form a back rest, it's obvious that Hadid's works combine the neccesities of comfort with her undeniable style.
