Bringing practical durability and elite craftsmanship together, Ray Ban has released new folding gold aviators to select retailers. The release marks their 75th anniversary as an eye-wear staple around the world. From celebrities to soccer moms, Ray Ban’s have become a default item in popular fashion during their reign.

The new folding gold aviators feature 22 carat yellow or white gold plated frames as well as leather ‘temple tips.’ The glasses are built with a hinge located between the lenses and half way down the glasses’ arms that allows them to be folded into a succinct package for storage or transport. Color options include crystal green, black, blue and brown. No retail price has been announced.

The release has sparked reaction from at least one celebrity, with Jermaine Dupri tweeting "IM ON THESE." Stats for Golden Folding Shades Trending: Older & Chilly
