One architecture firm looks to meld function with beauty and uses an illusionary layer to create this floating structure.

Labeled ‘The House Out of the Floating Box’ by 'Park + Associates,' this home was designed as a coherent space looking to "preserve the necessary simplicity of the spaces." Located in Bedock, a neighborhood in Singapore, the visually impressive home earned its name because of the illusionary design that makes it look like the upper level of the home is floating. The architects used a glass front, wrapped in a mesh skin to give it that astonishing appearance of a floating structure.

The layout of the house is open and inviting, using the space efficiently to create a welcoming atmosphere. The minimalistic design carries through to the washroom where it uses an all-white motif and natural lighting.
