The Global Coffee Chain is Set to Open Its First Location in Italy

Starbucks is teaming up with retail developer Percassi to open its first location in Italy. Although Starbucks' history is intimately linked with the Italian style of brewing coffee, the chain has yet to set up shop in the county. Now Starbucks has announced that it is ready to take on the European nation with the help of Percassi.

The global coffee chain will open its first location in Italy at the start of next year. Beginning with Milan, Starbucks and Percassi plan to develop existing retail stores and use local knowledge to create spaces that provide a unique coffee-drinking experience for Italian customers. As CEO Howard Schultz explains, "we’re going to try, with great humility and respect, to share what we’ve been doing and what we’ve learned through our first retail presence in Italy."
