 Heathrow's Terminal 5 Rivals Rodeo Drive (UPDATE) For those of you who have spent countless hours waiting in airports and wasting time reading a horrible paperback or trying to sleep on an uncomfortable chair, things are looking up. Heathrow’s Terminal 5 was designed with the savvy traveler in mind and boasts over 200,000 square feet of inviting retail space. Terminal 5 boasts a collection of luxury names large enough to rival Rodeo, including Harrod’s, Gucci, Prada, Dior, and Bulgari, and they are all eagerly awaiting the chance to help you forget about your late flight. WWD reports that retailers are hoping the strong client base that travels trough T5 will help them to weather the current economic slowdown better than traditional locations.  While Heathrow Airport’s Terminal 5 may have experienced some much-publicized teething problems during its launch last March, the terminal’s operator, the British Airports Authority, hopes the 450,000 passengers who pass through its 200,000 square feet of retail space every week will shrug off the economic downturn, lured by the airport’s raft of luxury boutiques offering exclusive product ranges, new store designs and price incentives.
