Camilla Diedrich’s fiber optic ‘Nature Ray Charles’ wallpaper is a beautiful set of luminescent wall coverings that seeks to replace electric light fixtures. The ‘Nature Ray Charles’ wallpaper comes in eight different colors and is meant to be an energy-efficient way to light one’s home without relying on electricity. It’s not clear how Camilla Diedrich’s fiber optic wallpaper is powered, but it’d be neat to see Diedrich’s creation powered by solar cells or something equally eco-friendly.  Speaking about her working process Ms. Diedrich says, “I have been searching for light without light…I was drawing as usual and slipped on the keyboard the drawing went extremely light and I just stared and thought wow this must be how blind people see and I thought of Ray Charles, the musician. His name is Ray, doesn’t that mean light?
