Edible Christmas Sweaters

This Baker Made a Festive Sweater to Spread Tasty Holiday Cheer

— December 8, 2015 — Lifestyle
Baker and food stylist Juliet Sear recently unveiled a festive sweater made entirely out of edible treats. The popularity of the term "ugly Christmas sweater" encouraged this artist to create her own version by combing her passion for baking with the holiday season.

Like a traditional festive sweater, Juliet Sear's creation features red, white and green colors to represent the season. She then used her culinary skills to handcraft her own Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer on the very front of the sweater. Additionally, the sweater is made with completely edible snowflakes, marzipan ric-rac ribbon and silver gems. There is also "22 pounds of icing, 11 pounds of marzipan and over 2 pounds of chocolate made from scratch."

The sweater was created in collaboration with United Kingdom-based baking brand Dr. Oetker. It took a total of 50 hours to make, which shows the baker's immaculate skills and dedication to both baked goods and Christmas.
