We've seen home gyms, bicycles, segways, and, oh yeah, cars from this company. They seem to be putting their custom red paint job and Prancing Horse logo on everything and marking up the price. Now, Ferrari has done their thing to skateboards. The price ($156USD) doesn't seem to fit the brand, however.
Implications - Ferrari is one of the most recognizable sports car brands. Developing products that aren't cars helps expand a brand's influence into new realms. A Ferrari costs over $100,000, but a skateboard that costs $156 lets more people enjoy the Ferrari brand. Companies should invest in new product lines to be able to include more consumers purchasing the brand.
