Soft and bold colors as well as unique and interesting patterns are combined to adorn Alexander McQueen’s Spring 2009 collection.

In the video above, we learn that McQueen is extremely passionate about our Earth. The first portion of his show consisted of prints from nature and stuffed animals. The second half of the show’s designs were inspired by where our world is at this time—mass technology and global warming—with sharp and edgy designs.

Jill Sherman, from Trend de la Creme, added the unique sea creatures beside McQueen’s fashions shown above to show how they reflect upon nature—did she do an incredible job or what?

I love Alexander McQueen’s Spring 2009 collection but his overall message even more; Mr. McQueen is concerned that if we continue going at our current rate that stuffed animals may be the only ones we have left—I couldn’t agree more.

McQueen set out to symbolize the negative impact of twenty-first-century evolution through the use of jumbled prints, exaggerated trims, layered textures, and unexpected color combinations -- surprisingly similar to the 'nudibranch' (one of the most colorful, and visually chaotic, creatures on earth). Ahhh! That's so funny that this happens to us alot! I actually JUST discovered the "trend sites" b/c my fiancee added the trendhunter toolbar for me. I'm so computer illiterate...but hanging on here! Funny, we picked the same "similar article" too. :) You did better, though...you found a VIDEO! :) You're a great trend hunter, Sandra!

Sandra why did you stop at 9 pics when there are plenty more at your source? The white gap in the place of image 10 looks like an eyesore when it could be a hot image...

@Ayman -- Two were the same so I removed it and couldn't upload the last picture despite the removal (You've uploaded the limit message wouldn't go away) -- Fixed now via a full edit. :-)

@Lindsey - LOL, What a great fiance'! I think Trend de le Creme was recently added due to Ayman's fantastic article about that blog. You're a FANTASTIC THer, with a bit over 50+ articles, you've attracted a whopping number of quality views -- I sooo admire you. :-)

Oh I know what you mean Sandra. I hope they fix that bug. When you remove pics the uploading tool should be enabled once again. I have to do this in full edit quite often because of that. Such wonderful images you have here!!
