IZAT has given the term “fashion emergency” a literal meaning with their new clothing-to-shelter line.

With concerns over earthquakes being an integral part of the Japanese way of life, apparel that doubles as temporary housing in case of emergencies is a must-have for every first aid kit.

IZAT (Immediate Zip Aid Tarp) can be worn as clothing, wrapped around the wounde, or can provide shelter. It has zippers on several parts to allow for transformation into different forms, and can be linked to build larger structures.

Not only is this great for emergencies, but also for the outdoor adventures of light packers.
