Lashtastic Patterns Hit Runways for Fall 2009

For Fall 2009, designers all seem to be looking to one particular print: the eyelash.

I suppose it makes sense that feminine designs are printed with eyelashes. They are a definite symbol of femininity, and when put on ruffled shirts and 40's styled dresses, they reach a new level of feminine style. Check out the feminine lash fashions found by Trend de la Creme above!

Implications - North Americans are currently moving towards a more egalitarian mode of sexual equality and the fashion industry is reflecting this change through gender neutrality. Corporations looking to convey themselves as forward-thinking may consider openly expressing this social change in ways that are appropriate for their particular industry.
