 The Designs and Art of Matt Gone Expressed in Tattoos Published: Mar 27, 09 Comments: 1 Views: 10,169 Since 1990 Matt Gone has tattooed over 98 percent of his body. The result is an elaborate, full body design with a central checkerboard theme. He has many fantastic creatures and scenes on his body and his chakras are individually marked. Only the soles of his feet remain untouched. The pictures on the mattgone website show the entire bodysuit in great detail with the tattooed private parts in a special adult gallery. Matt insists they are part of the central design of the bodysuit. I agree. Mr. Gone has a compelling personal story and clearly takes his art seriously enough to use his body as the canvas. What do you think?  I was also born with birth defects. The tattoos hide them and make my body something I can be proud of instead of hating.
This project began in 1990 and has cost over $65,000 so far. $20,000 of that was earned as a dishwasher in New Orleans' French Quarter.
If anyone says they cannot afford tattoos, they are just not serious about it.
