The PR machines are kicking in for Scrabble’s birthday, and this image of two skydivers playing the game at 13,000 feet is not an original photo stunt but it clearly works. And to be fair, the promotion included a whole collection of extreme locations, which rocks.
Other extreme birthday games were held in a lion cage in Africa, an alligator park in Floria and a chilly hill in Wales. 30,000 games are played per hour, or so the press release says.
There is no doubt of Scrabble’s place in popular culture, with everything from cushions to gravestones featuring the iconic board.
