These images are part of a joke, and artist Hyungkoo Lee lets us in on it early. In the Homo Animatus series of photographs, he alters his own anatomy and makes it cartoon-like using plastic forms and different lenses. With this technique, Lee creates body costumes that he hopes remind us of Disney comic characters.

The characters he turns himself into include Canis Latrans Animatus (Wile E. Coyote), Geococcyx Animatus (the Roadrunner), Lepus Animatus (Bugs Bunny), Felis Catus Animatus (Tom), Mus Animatus (Jerry), Anas Animatus (Donald Duck) and Animatus H, D and L (Huey, Dewey and Louie).
