Eternal Earth-Bound Pets offers a fee-based pet rescue service for pets of Christians that are swept up in the Rapture. When asked if the service offer was a joke, Eternal Earth-Bound Pets posted, “This is a serious offer to our Christian friends who believe in the Second Coming and honestly care about the future of their pets after the Rapture occurs.” Animal-loving atheists in 22 states agree to provide the service if Rapture occurs during a 10-year contract window. Oh, my. I hadn’t thought of that. But seriously, who will feed Precious once we enter eternal bliss? Would we want our paradise to be marred by thoughts of our little friends scavenging amid the chaotic wasteland we’ve escaped? Would we want them dodging all those unmanned vehicles with the “In case of rapture…” bumper stickers?
