The Toilet Institute of Japan is encouraging people to conserve with their new campaign, ‘Let’s Love the Toilet.’ Of course, the message is to reduce waste by using less toilet paper.

Danny Choo did some translation of a few of the messages: “Use toilet paper with care,” “Think about the next person,” and “We can help our Earth starting from the toilet,” are some of the campaign’s gems.

The site also has wallpaper for computer desktops that features some wonderful Engrish. “Every wipe butt, Loneliness of toilet paper, The paper received from the mother to forget.” And possibly the best evah: “Get a kiss on toilet paper.”

The same institute carried out research which found that men used an average of 132 centimeters of toilet paper while women used 99 centimeters. They want to see if people start using less paper to wipe their bottoms after the campaign. I thought of many different questions to ask regarding how you wipe your bottom and whether you check to see how much you wiped off but thought I'd better not ^^;But hey, if you don't check, how do you know if you are clean or not?
