'Brigade Beta' is a new social media platform that allows users to discuss and engage in political issues. The social network is backed by billionaire Sean Parker and the goal of the project is to create a space where people can freely discuss political and civic issues. Through healthy online engagement, Parker believes that the platform can help to boost civic participation in America.

Brigade Beta works by allowing users to choose their side on contemporary issues. These issues are referred to as 'positions' and they can include anything from privacy issues to women's rights. Users can then weigh in on a topic by agreeing, disagreeing or stating that they are unsure of where they stand. They can also add a short response that explains why they feel a certain way.

As of right now, the app is operating as an invite-only service. However, the ultimate goal is to open up the social network to the public and give all citizens the opportunity to engage in political issues.
