The Emilia Wickstead Fall 2014 Collection took a major change in tune after many shows filled with pink and citrus palettes, super feminine silhouettes changed to goth-metal and masculine edge on the runway.

A featherlight napa leather coat opened the show, which was beautifully tailored, but definitely dark and masculine. The pearl and Swarovski crystals appliqued onto the seam lines added a much-needed lightness to the strong look.

Then came python prints, which, when combined with a leather skirt, looked like a "don't mess with me" armor. The show took a turn toward Matrix-esque thanks to the leather coat that followed, while the show overall was made more like the "film noir" headgear inspired by vintage photographs.
