You Can Easily Make Abstract Art Pieces with This Calming At-home Project

This instructional embroidery DIY allows you to bring colorful abstract art pieces to your home with ease. The purpose of the DIY was to mirror the work of artist Ellie Mac -- whose pieces feature unique 3D raising.

With this in mind, the process is simple to follow as it encourages everyone to add their own personal flare, making for a stress-free project that offers a sense of relaxation and accomplishment. In order to do the embroidery DIY you'll need a pencil and paper, a picture frame, white cotton, an embroidery hoop and thread, pins, a sewing needle, cords in different sizes, scissors and tape.

Start by drawing the design you'd like on the paper and then transfer it onto the cotton my tracing it. Then attach the hoop and start fasting the cord with pins and adhere it to the piece with thread in order to get the desired 3D look. You can switch it up by using different colors and shapes, however its recommended to keep them simple if you're just starting out.
