Elbphilarmonie by Herzog and de Meuron is scheduled to open in 2010. The building, by the Suisse architectural firm, will dominate the long forgotten Hamburg waterfront.
The Elbphilarmonie will coexist with the most massive ongoing urban construction in Europe, the HafenCity district. The Elbphilharmonie will house The Elbe Philharmonic Hall, as well as host a luxury hotel, residential apartments, wellness area, conference center, the Klingendes Museum, North German Radio, restaurants, and night clubs.
