Edgar Allan Poe by Stefanie Rocknak, a sculptor based in Oneonta, New York, is a life-sized statue commemorating the famous American literary figure. The artist was chosen out of 265 artists to immortalize the figure of 'The Raven' author and her final design does not disappoint.

Not only does Edgar Allan Poe by Stefanie Rocknak incorporate the raven that he has become so synonymous with, it is full of movement as though a big gust of wind just blew into town with him. Set to be unveiled on the corner of Boylston Street and Charles Street in Boston on October 5, 2014, the statue will be cast in bronze. Rocknak writes, "Just off the train, the figure would be walking south towards his place of birth, where his mother and father once lived. Poe, with a trunk full of ideas—and worldwide success—is finally coming home."
