‘Gossip Girl’ star Ed Westwick shows his softer romantic side in the new Winter/Spring 09/10 issue of Arena Homme+ magazine. Photographed by Alasdair McLellan, Ed Westwick was styled for the shoot by Nicola Formichetti in retro chic pieces.

Designer Tom Ford, who lent a helping hand in the editorial, explains, “Ed Westwick is, to me, a bit like a modern Marlon Brando. He has the appeal of a great Fifties actor, but is modern at the same time.”

The cover of the fashion magazine’s issue tries to appeal to the young tween girls (and some boys) with an XOXO superimposed on top of a shirtless shot of Ed.
