As a precursor to the green collections to be showcased at Los Angeles Fashion Week, ecofashionistas are being invited to “Celebrate the emergence of EcoNouveau LA’s definitive EcoLifestyle experience.” The event, which runs this Saturday, will be a sneak preview of what to expect when the official fashion week kicks off in October.
At Trend Hunter we’ve seen a variety of green fashions in the past months, made of everything from organic cotton to bamboo. If you’re committed to saving the earth but are also want to look fab, this event could be worth checking out. The $20 show will feature fashions by Deborah Lindquist, music by Dublab and organic nibbles as well as a bar.
For the fashion forward and style savvy, it’s not always easy being green. But the couture-inspired creations of Deborah Lindquist are changing all that. As one of LA’s most sought after environmentally-conscious designers, Deborah creates exquisite apparel out of a mix of “reincarnated” and new Earth-friendly fabrics.
She has dressed trendsetters such as Gwen Stefani, Keyshia Cole, Demi Moore, Hilary Duff, Jessica Simpson, Paris Hilton and Charlize Theron. Her designs have graced the runways of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Smashbox Studios and the screens of primetime television. Even the Pussycat Dolls have strutted their stuff in her handiwork. But for Deborah, it’s a passion for the planet and the natural beauty of her West Coast surroundings that inspire her.
